Pioneer Natural Resources to cut jobs in Texas

In Texas, Pioneer Natural Resources plans to cut 148 jobs in April, as the company withdraws from the Eagle Ford shale play to focus on its operations in the Permian Basin, according to Fuel Fix.

Pioneer is taking six Eagle Ford rigs offline, and is discontinuing its pumping services operations in Victoria, Texas. Approximately 101 of the 148 employees will receive the opportunity to transfer to Midland, Texas, or other locations.
