Talen Energy selects Accenture to support its transition

Talen Energy Supply LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Talen Energy Corp., has selected Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to provide operations and technology services with an infrastructure-as-a-service model for business applications hosted in a virtual private cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Under the terms of a four-year agreement, Accenture, working with Avanade and the Accenture AWS Business Group, will migrate and deploy various Talen Energy IT assets to a new environment. In addition, Accenture will provide integration services including testing and change management and digital supply chain transformation. Accenture is deploying both program governance and organizational change management capabilities as part of this agreement.
This past year, Accenture delivered business and IT planning and due diligence services to support the formation of Talen Energy, which became a public company on June 1, 2015.
