Steptoe & Johnson promotes attorneys in Houston-area office

Steptoe & Johnson PLLC has promoted two attorneys from its office located in The Woodlands, Texas, near Houston. Donald T. Hueske has been promoted to member of the firm, and Kacie M. Bevers has been promoted to Of Counsel status. 

Hueske has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. His legal practice focuses on mineral title law, including title examination and due diligence for acquisitions and financing issues. He also leads teams of attorneys tasked with handling mineral titles and due diligence. Hueske is board certified in oil, gas, and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2014.

Bevers practices energy law and regularly assists clients with drilling title opinions, division order title opinions, and due diligence review. Prior to joining Steptoe & Johnson, Bevers worked as a field landman, which equipped her with a unique perspective for representing clients in title matters. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Bevers joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2012.
