Global Petroleum makes directorate change

Global Petroleum Ltd. (AIM: GBP, ASX: GBP), an oil and gas exploration company presently focused on emerging plays in Africa and the Mediterranean, has confirmed that Peter Dighton, one of the company’s two Australian resident non-executive directors, has resigned from the board due to the increasing demands of his other business interests, to which he wishes to devote more time.

Dighton will leave the board, effective Jan. 25. The company has begun a process to recruit a replacement non-executive director resident in Australia.
