Z-Terra, a provider of software and services solutions to the upstream oil and gas industry, has appointed Paul Taylor as its new vice president of business development for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He will be based in London.
Taylor joins Z-Terra after working for WesternGeco (a Schlumberger company). He has more than 30 years of technology and operations experience in the seismic industry. His global experience and international contacts have been built over many years in senior positions for Schlumberger, encompassing seismic imaging, seismic acquisition, and multi-client services.
Taylor served as region sales manager for WesternGeco, responsible for all seismic activities across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His previous roles included global account manager for international oil and gas companies; product champion, responsible for new technology commercialization; and region processing center manager. He joined Geco in 1982 as a processing geophysicist, but spent much of his first year alternating between processing centers and land crews, starting the trend of his career of working in all divisions of the seismic business.
