Marathon Petroleum makes senior management changes

Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: MPC) has made changes in the company's senior management structure that will be effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Donald C. Templin, executive vice president, Supply, Transportation and Marketing, has been named president, MPLX (NYSE: MPLX). Templin will continue to report to President and CEO Gary R. Heminger, and will remain an executive vice president of MPC. He will be located in Findlay, Ohio.

Pamela K. M. Beall, MPC's senior vice president, Corporate Planning, Government, and Public Affairs, will become executive vice president, Corporate Planning and Strategy at MPLX, reporting to Templin. She will also remain in Findlay. 

David L. Whikehart, director, Product Supply & Optimization, has been named vice president, Corporate Planning, Government and Public Affairs, succeeding Beall. He will report to Heminger, and will remain in Findlay.
