IDC Energy Insights hires Prouty as VP, Research

IDC Energy Insights has hired Kevin Prouty as vice president of research. In his new role, Prouty will be responsible for managing a group of analysts that provide research-based advisory and consulting services.                                                                        

Before joining IDC Energy Insights, Prouty was senior vice president of research at Aberdeen Group. Previously, he spent over five years as senior director of manufacturing and energy solutions at Motorola and was the resident expert on technology’s role in continuous improvement. 

Prior to Motorola, Prouty was research director for manufacturing and automotive at AMR Research and Gartner. Leading up to his research role, he spent more than 15 years as both a user and system integrator of operations software.
