Trelleborg Offshore to eliminate 200 Houston employees

Trelleborg Offshore US Inc. is eliminating approximately 200 jobs in Houston, cutting its workforce in that city by almost half, according to the Houston Business Journal, citing a letter that Trelleborg sent to the Texas Workforce Commission. Prior to the planned job cuts, the company had 416 employees in Houston.

Based in Sweden, the Trelleborg Group, which engineers offshore equipment, has more than 20,000 employees worldwide. The job cuts in Houston will occur over the next several months, completing in January.
