Ferreira quits as chairman of Petrobras

Murilo Ferreira has quit as chairman of Brazil's Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), according to Reuters. Ferreira had been on a leave of absence since Sept. 14, and Nelson Carvalho had replaced him on an interim basis.

Ferreira has been the CEO of Vale SA since 2011, and became Petrobras chairman in April.
