TransCanada eliminates additional management positions

Following a September decision to cut 20% of its senior management positions, TransCanada Corp. is now eliminating approximately 30 more directors from its payroll, according to Reuters.

In June, TransCanada laid off 185 employees from its major projects division. Current market conditions, along with delays in decisions regarding the company’s proposed Keystone XL and Energy East pipeline projects, have led TransCanada to decrease staffing levels among other cost-cutting measures.
