Greenland Gas & Oil appoints Bilsland as non-executive director

Greenland Gas & Oil Ltd., a Greenland-focused oil and gas exploration and development company, has appointed Dr. Mark Bilsland as a non-executive director of the company.

Dr. Bilsland has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, managing assets and operations in the UK North Sea, Eastern Mediterranean, Western Siberia, Kazakhstan and Australia. He has a PhD in petroleum engineering from Imperial College London, along with a degree in geology from the University of Nottingham.

After working for Enterprise Oil for more than 15 years in technical and senior management roles in the UK and overseas, Dr. Bilsland joined Khanty Mansiysk Oil Corp. (KMOC) in Moscow. He managed the transformation of KMOC from a local West Siberian explorer to a mature production company, with KMOC ultimately being sold to Marathon Oil. Dr. Bilsland has since been involved in the startup of a number of companies in the exploration, production, and oil services sectors.
