ESIA acquires Richmond Energy Partners

Energy Software Intelligence Analytics (ESIA), a newly formed provider of strategic and business intelligence services, has acquired Richmond Energy Partners Ltd.

Backed by specialist private equity company Energy Ventures, ESIA was formed in January to assemble a portfolio of businesses that deliver data, research, insight, and transaction services for the global energy exploration and production markets and support services. ESIA acquired Hannon Westwood in January and then acquired Novas Consulting in July. The latest acquisition of Richmond Energy Partners deepens ESIA’s coverage in the exploration and appraisal market.

Richmond Energy Partners was formed in 2006. Through its Wildcat Service, a web-based database and suite of analytical tools, Richmond Energy Partners provides intelligence on international conventional oil and gas exploration for company strategy, business development, and performance benchmarking. The addition of Richmond Energy Partners brings another dimension to ESIA’s existing offering.
