Companies awarded contracts for Culzean field development

Subsea 7 SA (Oslo Børs: SUBC, ADR: SUBCY) and Sembcorp Marine Ltd.’s subsidiary SMOE Pte Ltd. have both been awarded contracts for work on Maersk Oil's Culzean field development project offshore UK.

Subsea 7 has received a subsea, umbilical, riser, and flowline (SURF) contract from Maersk Oil with a value in excess of US$150 million.

SMOE Pte. Ltd. has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth over $1 billion (including long-lead items) from Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd.

The ultra-high-pressure/high-temperature field, one of the largest gas discoveries offshore UK, is located in Block 22/25 of the Central North Sea at a water depth of approximately 90 meters.
