EMAS Offshore Ltd. (OSE: EMAS), an offshore services provider offering offshore support, accommodation, construction, and production services to the oil and gas industry, has appointed Capt. Adarash Kumar A/L Chranji Lal Amarnath as the company’s new CEO, effective Sept. 25. Capt. Kumar has more than 25 years of experience in the marine industry. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he was Ezra Holdings Ltd.’s group COO. Before joining Ezra Holdings, he was an assistant general manager of Bumi Armada Navigation Sdn Bhd, an offshore support services provider based in Malaysia, and was responsible for its operations. He also held various positions onboard vessels while working for the Malaysian International Shipping Corp. Capt. Kumar is a qualified Master Mariner and holds a Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship issued by the Malaysian Marine Department.

Capt. Kumar has stepped down from Ezra Holdings Ltd. as an executive director of its board and his position as group COO to fully concentrate on his new role with EMAS Offshore.
