BDO hires Dickinson as director in firm’s Anchorage office

BDO USA LLP, an accounting and consulting organization, has hired Dan Dickinson, CPA, as a director in the firm’s Anchorage, Alaska, office.

Dickinson has over 20 years of experience providing consulting and tax services to a wide range of clients, including exploration and production companies, financial institutions, municipalities, and both current and potential investors in Alaska. He has experience dealing with complex issues including the State of Alaska’s constantly evolving exploration, development, and production incentives. His background includes serving in several state and municipal administrations, including time as the director of tax for the State of Alaska.

Before joining BDO, Dickinson had his own CPA practice focused on Alaska oil and gas production taxes. He has authored articles in publications such as Oil and Gas Journal, and has public speaking experience, having presented on gasoline, tax, and other fiscal policy issues to legislative committees and other organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in lunar geology from Brown University.
