Catch Resources Inc., a Calgary-based oil and gas company, has made key executive appointments to its operational team.
Rick Carr has been appointed vice president of operations and COO. A production engineer with over 18 years of experience, Carr most recently held the role of director of production and facilities at Bellatrix Exploration. Prior to Bellatrix, he was senior production engineer at Highpine Oil and Gas and production engineer at Iteration Energy Ltd.
Lance L. Wirth has been appointed vice president of finance and CFO. He is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production. Wirth was most recently vice president of finance for Calvalley Petroleum Inc. From 2006 to 2013, he was vice president of finance and CFO for Sure Energy Inc. Previously, he was also the manager of financial accounting for Canetic Resources Trust.
Alex Boyd has been appointed vice president of corporate operations. For the past 15 years, Boyd has worked with multinational insurance brokers, developing specialized insurance and risk management programs specifically for the energy industry. He introduced new well control programs that insulated producers' cash flow and included pre-event partnership with Boots & Coots International Well Control, a first in the industry. Through this arrangement, he introduced and incorporated the Canadian division of Boots & Coots, creating strategic partnerships while also sitting on the board of directors until its acquisition by Halliburton. In his latest role, he was managing director with an independent wholesale insurance provider in North America.
