ABN AMRO makes senior appointment in the UK

ABN AMRO has appointed Robbert Booij as country executive for the UK and general manager of ABN AMRO Bank NV, UK branch. Booij succeeds Paul Gallagher, who takes on a new leadership challenge in risk management for ABN AMRO UK and the International Network.

Booij has experience in various positions at ABN AMRO and in the UK financial sector. His background includes knowledge of financial infrastructure and risk management, as well as regulatory matters.

With his new appointment, Booij will lead the company’s activities in the UK, in addition to maintaining his role as managing director and head of clearing in the UK, a role he has held since 2012.

In the UK, ABN AMRO serves its clients with capital markets solutions, clearing, commodities brokerage, invoice financing and asset-based lending, leasing, escrow and settlement, financial institutions, and a Dutch desk for corporate banking clients.
