UKOG makes board changes

Stephen Sanderson has been appointed to the board of UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (UKOG) as the new executive chairman of the company. Sanderson will remain as the chief executive of the company, a non-board position that he has held since January.

In his new role as executive chairman, Sanderson replaces David Lenigas, who is retiring from the board to focus on other business interests. Lenigas will be retained as a consultant to the Group for a period of at least four months to assist with this transition.

Sanderson is a petroleum geologist with over 30 years of global upstream energy sector experience. He is a graduate and associate of the Royal School of Mines and Imperial College, London. Sanderson is a fellow of the Geological Society of London and an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
