Far East Energy engages Whitley Penn, further extends term loan facility

Far East Energy Corp. (OTC: FEEC), which operates the Shouyang coalbed bethane (CBM) production sharing contract (Shouyang PSC) in Shanxi Province, People's Republic of China, has entered into an engagement letter with its independent registered accounting firm, Whitley Penn LLP, to conduct an audit of the company's 2014 financial results.

Further, East Energy (Bermuda) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has received an extension of its $1.4 million term loan facility agreement entered into on Feb. 24 with the lenders party thereto, making the maturity date of that loan consistent with the term loan facility entered into on June 26, also maturing Oct. 8.
