Seatronics appoints Donaldson as new VP of global operations

Seatronics Ltd., an Acteon company and part of its survey, monitoring and data business, has promoted Derek Donaldson from vice president of Asia Pacific to vice president of global operations. He will be based in Singapore.

Donaldson studied mechanical engineering at Napier University in Edinburgh, UK. After completing a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) pilot training scheme, Donaldson became an ROV professional involved in projects ranging from the shallow, low-visibility waters of the southern North Sea to the ultra-deep waters of Brazil. He transitioned into a sales position with Sonardyne, where he progressed to the role of vice president, responsible for the Europe and Africa regions. He joined Seatronics in 2007 as vice president of the Asia Pacific region.
