RSI begins reservoir characterization project for Pemex E&P

RSI has been awarded a reservoir characterization project by Pemex Exploration and Production in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. This service order is the first for RSI under the terms of a previously announced framework agreement with Pemex Procurement International Inc. in Houston. The project will be executed at RSI’s offices in Villahermosa, Mexico, and in Houston, Texas.

Richard Cooper, RSI chairman and CEO said that RSI will be integrating and interpreting “a rich set of information, including modern seismic and CSEM data, within a rock physics framework.”

“This contract leverages RSI's extensive R&D investment, including the development of our well-driven integration of seismic technology, which is unique to RSI,” said Lucy MacGregor, RSI’s chief technology officer. “RSI’s technology will provide PEMEX with fully integrated, rock physics driven results to significantly aid their exploration efforts.”
