Petrobras plans $2.5B 100-year bond offering

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) plans to sell $2.5 billion of 100-year bonds, says Bloomberg. The transaction will include the issue of securities due in 2115 to yield 8.45%.

Bloomberg notes that Petrobras is joining Mexico in issuing “century” bonds. Since 2010, Mexico has raised approximately $6 billion by selling 100-year bonds abroad in five different offerings.
