MaloneBailey promotes three to partner roles

MaloneBailey LLP, a global public accounting firm based in Houston, Texas, has promoted three staff members as partners. Senior Audit Managers Jeff Labay and Jimmy Thompson, both certified public accountants (CPAs), have each been promoted to the role of audit partner in the firm’s Houston office. Additionally, CPA Jaddy Wang has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Shenzhen office in China.

Both Labay and Thompson started at MaloneBailey in 2006 directly from college. Wang joined the firm in 2010 as an audit manager and played a key role in opening the firm’s first overseas office in Shenzhen.

Labay joined MaloneBailey in 2006 as an audit staff member. His focus is nearly exclusively dedicated to oil and gas companies with 95% of his clients being upstream companies. Additionally, he has played a lead role in developing firm-wide oil and gas accounting and audit training materials.

Thompson also joined MaloneBailey in 2006. He specializes in audits of small and micro cap public companies in a variety of industries and has experience with public company accounting issues, including stock-based compensation, reverse mergers, debt restructurings, derivatives, and US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reporting.

Wang oversees day-to-day operations of MaloneBailey’s Shenzhen office, leading a team that focuses on conducting audits of financial statements and other assurance services, including special reports, SEC compliance, debt compliance, reviews of interim data, internal control reviews and more. Before joining MaloneBailey in 2010, she served as an audit manager at Ernst & Young LLP's Houston office.
