Lundin appoints Schneiter as president and CEO

Lundin Petroleum AB has appointed Alex Schneiter as president and CEO following Ashley Heppenstall’s recent decision to step down from his executive position with the company, all to be effective as of Oct. 1. Heppenstall has served as president and CEO since 2002, and will remain on Lundin’s board.

Schneiter has been executive vice president and COO of Lundin Petroleum since its inception in 2001, and has helped grow Lundin Petroleum’s business in Norway over the last 11 years. He has been working for companies associated with the Lundin family since 1993.

Nick Walker, who recently joined the company as senior vice president of development and operations, will assume the role of COO, also effective Oct. 1.
