HEP appoints Archer as CFO and senior vice president

Howard Midstream Energy Partners LLC (HEP) has appointed Scott Archer as CFO and senior vice president, effective immediately. He assumes this role from Larry Murphy, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Archer brings nearly 20 years of merger and acquisition (M&A), company structuring, and energy-related finance experience to HEP.

Archer comes to HEP from Tudor, Pickering Holt & Co. (TPH), where he spent two years as managing director of investment banking, focused on the midstream sector and master limited partnerships (MLPs). He served as a strategic financial advisor and capital sourcing provider for buy-side and sell-side clients both private and public. Prior to TPH, Archer spent 13 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, ultimately as a managing director with the firm’s Global Energy & Power Group. He led or participated in more than 20 M&A transactions ranging from $50 million to $8 billion and was the structuring agent on numerous MLP initial public offerings.

Archer holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
