Cimarex CFO to retire; successor named

Cimarex Energy Co. (NYSE: XEC) says that its CFO, Paul Korus, plans to retire by Sept. 1. Cimarex has, therefore, appointed Mark Burford as its CFO, effective as of Korus' retirement.

Burford joined Cimarex in 2005 and is currently serving as vice president of capital markets and planning. 

Denver, Colorado-based Cimarex Energy is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company with principal operations in the Mid-Continent and Permian Basin areas of the US.
