US Silica Holdings names Casper as VP/chief commercial officer

US Silica Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SLCA) has promoted Bradford B. Casper to vice president and chief commercial officer.

In his new role, Casper will continue oversight of the company's strategic initiatives. He will also assume increased responsibilities, including leadership of the company's sales, marketing, and product development efforts, as well as business unit performance.

Casper has served as the company's vice president of strategy since May 2011. Before joining US Silica, he held various positions within Bain & Co. Inc., most recently as a principal from July 2010 to May 2011.

Casper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with a Master of Science degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

US Silica Holdings Inc., a member of the Russell 2000, produces commercial silica used in the oil and gas industry, and in a wide range of industrial applications.
