Sinopec chairman retires

Fu Chengyu, chairman of China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec), has retired, according to Reuters. He will be succeeded by Wang Yupu, a former deputy director of the China Academy of Engineering and an oil industry veteran.

Reuters noted that Fu became Sinopec chairman in April 2011 after more than 30 years with China National Offshore Oil Co.
