Dominion appoints Blue to new senior role

Dominion (NYSE: D) has appointed Robert M. Blue as senior vice president of regulation, law, energy solutions, and policy, with the new role effective May 6.

Since January 2014, Blue had been serving as president of the company's Dominion Virginia Power operating segment, which operates electric transmission and distribution systems serving 2.5 million customer accounts in Virginia and northeast North Carolina.

Blue joined Dominion in 2005 and held various posts in Dominion's legal, policy and public communications functions before being named president of Dominion Virginia Power. He was counselor and policy director for former Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner, and previously was a partner with the law firm now known as Hogan Lovells.

Blue earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, a juris doctor from Yale Law School, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
