SandRidge appoints Suter as SVP of production

SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE: SD) has appointed John Suter as senior vice president of production, effective April 27.

Suter comes to SandRidge with experience in the exploration and production sector, having most recently worked at American Energy Partners LP, where he served as vice president of the Woodford business unit.

Previously, Suter was vice president of operations for Chesapeake's Western Division, which included the Eagle Ford, Permian, and Rockies. While at Chesapeake, he also served as the district manager for the Barnett shale and Southern Oklahoma assets. Prior to Chesapeake, Suter served in lead roles for Continental Resources Inc., Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., and Petro-Lewis Corp. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University.
