Navigator extends open season for Big Spring Gateway pipeline system

Navigator Energy Services LLC is extending the binding open season period for volume commitments on its Big Spring Gateway (BSG) pipeline system. The open season, which was scheduled to end March 31, has been extended to end on April 7.

The 140,000-bbl/d BSG system will serve crude oil producers and other shippers in the Permian Basin. It will span Martin, Howard, Glasscock, and Midland counties in Texas, and will include more than 250 miles of gathering pipeline, 200 miles of transportation mainline, seven truck injection stations, and 225,000 barrels of planned storage capacity.

Under its FERC tariff, the BSG system will offer delivery into the BridgeTex pipeline and Sunoco-operated pipelines near Colorado City, Texas. The BSG system will provide West Texas producers a direct path to approximately 900,000 bbl/d of pipeline takeaway from Colorado City to Texas Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent market centers.

Navigator has begun construction on the BSG system, which is expected to be placed in service in the second half of 2015.
