Hannon Westwood study supports 2015 Irish Atlantic Margin Licensing Round

Hannon Westwood, which advises oil and gas companies, has published a study to support the 2015 Irish Atlantic Margin Licensing Round. The Atlantic Margin Licensing Round Study is designed to provide a first-pass screening tool with which to grade opportunities for further detailed work.

The study covers all the Atlantic Margin basins, including the Donegal, Erris, Slyne, Porcupine, and Rockall basins – offering an overview of the acreage in the round, with descriptions of discoveries and prospects on unlicensed acreage. It also studies the current state of the Atlantic Margin, including drilling and success history, license rounds, resource estimates, and a commentary on the history of each basin. Statistics include average prospect size and prospective reserves by age.

Ian Norbury, CEO of Hannon Westwood, said, “Providing this type of background geotechnical data from historical mapping is highly informative and saves money, time, and manpower by allowing companies to focus rapidly on areas of interest.”
