GreenHunter Resources Inc. (NYSE MKT: GRH and GRH.PRC), a diversified water resource, waste management, environmental services, and hydrocarbon marketing company specializing in unconventional oil and natural gas shale resource plays, has appointed Melissa Pagen as vice president of business development, effective April 15.
In this new role, Pagen will be responsible for strengthening existing as well as developing new business opportunities that support the company's core lines of business as they relate to the water disposal and fluids management industry, including the company’s proprietary MAG Tank, an above-ground, customizable water storage solution.
Pagen has more than 10 years of professional business development experience in both the private and public sectors – five years specifically focused on energy. Prior to joining GreenHunter Resources, she co-founded Saints Oilfield Services LLC, (aka "Dakota Fly Ash") in the Bakken shale play of North Dakota. As general partner and co-founder of Saints Oilfield Services LLC, Pagen advised and provided clients with environmental service materials in the Bakken shale play.
Pagen also served as vice president of marketing and sales at Sionix Corp., where she played a role in building, designing, and developing the company's communications and investor relations platform. Under her term at Sionix, Pagen helped grow the company's sales distribution channel, increasing visibility of the Sionix self-contained, mobile water treatment system, both domestically and internationally.
Pagen is a member of the Southeastern Ohio Oil and Gas Association, along with the Independent Oil and Gas Association, West Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
