ARP begins public offering of Class E preferred units

Atlas Resource Partners LP (NYSE: ARP) has begun a public offering of Class E cumulative redeemable perpetual preferred units pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement on Form S-3, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. 

ARP will grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional Class E preferred units. 

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general partnership purposes, which may include repayment of borrowings under its revolving credit facility.

MLV & Co. LLC, Ladenburg Thalmann, National Securities Corp., Northland Capital Markets, and US Capital Advisors LLC will act as the joint book-running managers of the offering.
