President of BG Canada leaves for another company post in UK

BG Group Plc's Canadian unit leader – Madeline Whitaker, who was appointed president of BG Canada in September 2013 – has left Vancouver to take another role in the company in the UK, according to Reuters. Her vacated position will not be filled.

Whitaker was overseeing the development of the Prince Rupert LNG project. Reuters noted that her responsibilities will be taken over by Matt Sullivan, a venture director based in Houston, and by Vancouver-based Simon Nish, vice president of sustainability and now BG’s senior representative in Canada.

BG is delaying a final investment decision on the Prince Rupert LNG project until 2017 at the earliest.
