Jimmy Staton has joined Venture Global LNG Inc. as executive vice president. In this role, Staton will take lead responsibility for gas supply and gas procurement strategies.
Staton brings to Venture Global LNG more than 30 years of executive-level management in the gas and electricity industries. He most recently served as a top officer of NiSource Inc., serving as executive vice president and Group CEO for its Columbia Pipeline Group. Prior to his tenure at NiSource, Staton held several senior executive level positions at Dominion Resources Inc.
Staton will continue to serve on the board of directors for Venture Global LNG Inc. He has also served on the board of directors for the Edison Electric Institute, the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the American Gas Association, the American Gas Foundation, and the Southern Gas Association.
Venture Global LNG is currently developing the Calcasieu Pass project, a liquefaction and export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Pending regulatory approval, the project will serve LNG markets by exporting ten million metric tonnes per annum of LNG to customers throughout the world.
