Incoming Texas railroad commissioner to be sworn in Jan. 5

In Austin, Texas, Commissioner-Elect Ryan Sitton will be sworn in as the Texas Railroad Commission’s 49th commissioner by Texas Supreme Court Justice Don Willett on Jan. 5, 2015.

News sources report that Sitton plans to step down from his post as president and CEO of oil and gas consulting firm Pinnacle Asset Integrity Services on Jan. 2, in order to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
