Soetjipto named head of Pertamina

Dwi Soetjipto has been named the head of Pertamina, Indonesia’s state oil and gas company, according to The Wall Street Journal.

For this top role at Pertamina, Indonesia President Joko Widodo chose Soetjipto, a veteran of the cement industry and most recently the president-director of state-controlled cement producer Semen Indonesia.

Pertamina’s previous chief executive, Karen Agustiawan, stepped down on Oct. 1.
