Greenwell Energy Solutions acquires BB Chemicals

Greenwell Energy Solutions

Greenwell Energy Solutions, an independent specialty supplier of completion, production and environmental services for the upstream energy industry, has acquired BB Chemicals Inc. BB Chemicals has an extensive line of specialty production chemicals, blending facilities, field service personnel, and assets.

Based in Odessa, Texas, with over 70 employees and six district offices, BB Chemicals offers field support and currently treats several thousand wells.

BB Chemicals’ in-house manufacturing and blending services will provide Greenwell customers access to products designed for their specific applications. Chemical solutions are engineered to meet precise performance criteria and quality specifications, and are subsequently adjusted for optimal performance based on field trials. Lab results including water and oil analysis are often completed in three to four days, a fraction of the time experienced when utilizing traditional third-party labs.

With the acquisition, Greenwell now operates nine offices and has a presence in all major Texas plays and in Louisiana and Oklahoma.

BB Chemicals will continue to operate under the BB Chemicals name for the foreseeable future. Customers will leverage the same BB Chemicals team, field service and support but with access to an expanded portfolio. As the two companies integrate, Greenwell will unveil its more comprehensive website to include a larger suite of solutions and capabilities.
