Northern opens Denver office, hires executive vice president of land

Northern Oil and Gas Inc. (NYSE MKT: NOG) has opened a regional office in Denver, Colorado, and has hired Darrell Finneman as executive vice president, Land. In this role, Finneman will focus on land acquisitions and divestitures, as well as on strategic transactions in areas of mutual interest with Williston Basin operators.

Finneman comes to Northern with over 33 years of land acquisition experience. Since 2003, he has been employed at Fidelity Exploration & Production Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of MDU Resources Group Inc., as regional land manager. Most recently, Finneman was responsible for business development and growth initiatives involving multiple Land teams that were focused on acquiring and assembling strategic oil and gas lease blocks. Prior to Fidelity, he spent 18 years with Amoco Production Co. Finneman is a certified professional landman with the American Association of Professional Landmen, and holds a master's degree from the University of Colorado.
