New Gulf Resources adds to management team

New Gulf Resources LLC

New Gulf Resources LLC (NGR) has hired two new members to augment its management team. Danni Morris, former treasurer of WPX Energy Inc., will become NGR's CFO, and Michael Brown, former vice president of geology with Sandridge Energy Inc., will be NGR's senior vice president of geology and geophysics.

Morris replaces Rob Moore, who had been serving a dual role as CFO and petroleum engineer and who will now become senior vice president of production operations and engineering

Morris has over 20 years of experience in the energy business, having performed most of her career at The Williams Companies Inc. and WPX Energy in business development and treasury roles.

Brown has over 29 years of experience as a petroleum geologist and management professional, and has performed significant roles at Sandridge Energy, Chesapeake Energy, TXO Production, and Exxon.

NGR owns over 80,000 net mineral leasehold acres in the prolific Woodbine, Eagle Ford, and Lower Cretaceous plays. The company acquired a large position in East Texas in May from Halcón Resources Inc.
