Navigant expands global energy practice


Navigant (NYSE: NCI), a global services firm, has expanded its service offerings for oil and gas clients through the recent hire of five senior industry professionals. The addition of these professionals brings enhanced strategy development and implementation, capital program management, asset management and operational excellence expertise into the firm.

Lee Laviolette has been named managing director in Houston, TX. Laviolette is responsible for leading Navigant’s oil and gas practice. He has more than 30 years of strategy, operations, commercial, and technical experience across all oil and gas sectors as well as metals and mining industries. The early part of his career was spent in various technical and operating roles in Exxon and Total.

Walter Pesenti will serve as a managing director in Los Angeles, CA. Pesenti is experienced in driving operational excellence, asset management and capital project programs for oil and gas clients. His global experience has helped reduced risk exposure and delivered cost savings for downstream, chemical, and upstream companies. Prior to joining Navigant, Pesenti spent more than 25 years focused on the downstream and petrochemicals markets at Exxon Mobil, Shell, and BP.

Nick Allen has been named a director in London, England. Allen has more than 25 years of strategy, operations, and commercial experience in industry and consulting. Most recently, he spent 15 years at Shell, serving in a variety of senior global, regional and local leadership roles across the downstream value chains. He has worked to revitalize existing oil and gas businesses and build new ones in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Gajan Sritharan will also serve as a director in London, England. Sritharan has more than 16 years of experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in delivering complex transformation programs in the oil and gas sector. He specializes in helping clients define and deliver broad-ranging strategic, operational and commercial business improvement programs.

Katherine Chance will serve as a director in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Chance works with oil and gas companies to help them achieve their strategic and operational agendas. She focuses on LNG, midstream, and the Western Canadian Exploration & Production market, and has experience of working with oil and gas organizations in Western Canada and the UK.

Navigant professionals provide services that extend from expert and advisory work through implementation and outsourcing. The firm combines technical expertise in disputes and investigations, economics, financial advisory and management consulting, with business pragmatism to address clients’ needs industries including construction, energy, financial services, and healthcare.
