Linc Energy names Ricato as new CEO

Linc Energy Ltd.

Linc Energy Ltd. reports that the company’s long-time CEO and managing director, Peter Bond, will be transitioning to the role of executive chairman of the board. In his place, Craig Ricato has been chosen to lead the company in the role of CEO and managing director, with Michael Mapp as COO.

Ricato joined Linc Energy in 2008 in the role of general counsel and company secretary. He was promoted to executive director of Legal & Corporate Affairs for the company in October 2010. He has served as both an executive director and most recently as a non-executive director on Linc Energy’s board since 2010 and was appointed CEO and managing director Oct. 1.

Ricato has provided legal guidance to the board and company departments and managed various corporate functions within the Group, including the provision of legal advice during Linc Energy’s Oil & Gas acquisition program.

He brings a broad range of international corporate and commercial experience to Linc Energy across the energy and resources industry. Ricato obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1991 and was admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2001 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree with First Class Honors. His early career background prior to joining the legal profession was in forensic accounting and law enforcement.
