SDOGA names Martin as executive director

South Dakota Oil and Gas Association

The South Dakota Oil and Gas Association (SDOGA) has named Adam Martin as executive director for the organization. Formed in 2012, the SDOGA is dedicated to the responsible and environmentally sound exploration, development, and production of South Dakota’s oil and natural gas resources.

In addition to production, South Dakota is proving to serve as a major hub for energy- and service-related companies by being close to the Bakken and Niobrara shale plays, and the Powder River Basin

Martin has over 20 years of experience in high-level management; business-to-business networking; major events planning; internal and external policy direction; governmental affairs; media relations; and working with the many levels of local, state, and federal governmental agencies. He serves on the board of directors to Northern Hills Federal Credit Union and the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce. Martin is also president of the Downtown Sturgis Foundation, and an advisory board member for the Sturgis Business Improvement District.
