Cimarex to join S&P 500

Among the changes that the S&P Dow Jones Indices will make after the close of trading on June 20 includes S&P MidCap 400 constituent Cimarex Energy Co. (NYSE:XEC) replacing International Game Technology in the S&P 500, and International Game Technology replacing Cimarex Energy in the S&P MidCap 400.

Cimarex Energy is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The company will be added to the S&P 500 Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Sub-Industry index.
