Buckhorn Energy Services LLC is expanding its operations into the Permian Basin. The company has acquired five operating saltwater disposal wells, two brine stations, and two freshwater wells located in the Ector, Martin, and Ward counties of Midland/Odessa, Texas. All of the disposal wells have truck offloading and pipeline operations or capabilities. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
Buckhorn Energy Services was formed in June 2011 to provide environmentally sound waste management services to the oil and gas industry. The company currently operates saltwater disposal facilities and water pipeline facilities in the Bakken area of North Dakota in addition to these new operations.
Gary Ebel, Buckhorn Energy Services CEO, said, "Buckhorn is excited to add this business to our growing saltwater disposal and gathering systems business. This acquisition continues our expansion of facilities that bring contracted water by pipeline and further demonstrates our commitment to grow Buckhorn into one of the critical oil services providers to oil and gas operators in the Permian Basin.”
