Vitol to anchor new Houston office development

International energy trading firm Vitol plans to anchor a new development planned in Houston’s Upper Kirby District, according to developer Midway Cos.

The Vitol Group was founded in 1966 in the Netherlands. Globally, the company trades more than 5 million barrels of crude oil and oil products per day. The company posted revenue in 2012 of $303 billion.

Office lease negotiations were handled by Chris Oliver and Trey Strake, of Cushman & Wakefield, for Vitol; Michael Anderson, of Colvill Office Properties; and Shon Link, with Midway.
