Rainbow Ceramics moves to new tech center in Houston

Rainbow Ceramics

Rainbow Ceramics, a manufacturer and supplier of ultra-lightweight, lightweight, intermediate- and high-strength ceramic proppants used in hydraulic fracturing, recently opened a new North American sales and technology center in west Houston. With the aim of enhancing product application solutions and developing new product technologies, Rainbow will provide customer technical support and product quality control services from the new facility. Additionally, Rainbow staff will conduct ongoing proppant performance studies in conjunction with pressure pumping services and operating companies across the US and Canada.

Rainbow also operates more than a dozen production lines in five state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in China, where the company has been a manufacturer of ceramic sands, ceramic beads and ceramic balls for over 25 years. These traditional products have various industrial applications, such as catalyst carriers, support media, grinding beads and blasting beads used in petrochemical and refinery plants.

In 2008, Rainbow established a product development and marketing office in Duncan, Oklahoma. The company then began providing top-tier US oilfield services companies with ceramic proppants. Today, the company distributes ceramic proppant products to the oil and gas industry from numerous warehouses and transloading facilities across the major North American shale plays. Rainbow develops, manufactures and supplies proppants that are intended to enhance production from oil and gas wells in both vertical and horizontal completions.
