Miller Energy Resources appoints Hall as COO

Miller Energy Resources Inc.

Miller Energy Resources Inc.’s board of directors has appointed David M. Hall to chief operating officer (COO). Hall has been CEO of Miller's wholly owned Alaskan operating subsidiary, Cook Inlet Energy, since 2009, and will continue in that capacity. In his new role as COO, he will oversee all of Miller's drilling operations, in both Alaska and Tennessee.

Hall will continue to head up Miller's Alaska office to be in close proximity to the majority of the company's production and development efforts. He is a member of Miller's board of directors and has worked on the assets that Miller acquired in Alaska since their construction began in 1991. He has experience in oil and gas production and drilling, and in industrial and electrical engineering, and brings over 25 years of experience to the company.

Deloy Miller, who previously held the position of COO, will continue to serve as executive chairman of the board of directors, a position he has held since the company’s formation in 1967.

Miller Energy Resources Inc. (NYSE: MILL) is an oil and natural gas exploration, production and drilling company operating in multiple exploration and production basins in North America. Its focus is in Cook Inlet, Alaska, and in the heart of Tennessee's hydrocarbon-rich Appalachian Basin including the Chattanooga Shale.
