Pardee Resources Co. (PRC) has named Thomas A. Lopus as senior vice president, oil and gas. Pardee Resources is a Philadelphia-based firm that focuses on the acquisition, management, and responsible development of natural resource properties.
Lopus will have executive oversight and responsibility for all of PRC’s oil and gas operations, including asset evaluation and acquisition. Lopus has more than 30 years’ experience in oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production, especially in the Gulf States and the Appalachian region. PRC owns and leases properties for oil and gas development in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Colorado, and New Mexico.
In addition to his technical experience, Lopus has experience in business development, economic analysis, and technological innovation within the energy field. He is a certified Professional Engineer, and holds a BS in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State University. He is a founding board member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition.
Pardee Resources Co. manages rights for coal, oil, natural gas, minerals, and timber on properties in 13 states, and owns approximately 195,000 acres of timberland, over 300 million tons of coal reserves, and approximately 10 billion cubic feet equivalent of oil and gas reserves. The firm also owns distributed solar-generated electricity installations in New Jersey and California totaling 8.6 megawatts of capacity.
